Ray has been busy — here's what's new.
Dr. Ray J. Striler has lived several lifetimes' worth of stories — and he has spent decades writing them down. In June 1966, as a young Army captain, he commanded a twelve-man Special Forces A-team of Montagnard soldiers at Tan Rai in Vietnam's Central Highlands, and later served a second tour as an infantry officer in the Mekong Delta. He went on to earn a doctorate in education and build a career in management and leadership development.
His books range as widely as his life: war memoir drawn from his own service; novels that run from the Yangtze River to the savannas of southern Africa; mysteries; family history tracing the Striler line back to OberAchern, Germany; laugh-out-loud essays on the senior years; a children's book about the brain; and practical guides to leadership, mentorship, and listening.
Never one to stand still, Ray has embraced artificial intelligence as a creative partner in his newest chapter as a writer — and the results have been remarkable. Since 2025 he has published twenty-three new books, including the four-book What We Leave Behind saga, about a family that keeps talking to an AI built from their late grandfather's tapes; the Night Line mysteries, set on a late-night phone line for the lonely; Twenty Minutes, drawn from his two years volunteering on a listening line in retirement; and Not in Heaven, which asks what the Talmud's sages and a leaderless ant colony can teach us about living with artificial minds.
He also writes under the pen name RJ Stryker, and those books are included here too. Every book is available on Amazon.com, most in both paperback and Kindle editions.
